5 years ago I was close to 50lbs overweight and in constant pain. Standing in an airport looking at a woman who had to be 20+ years older who looked fit, healthy and happy I realized I needed to change. I had done diet pills, shakes, frozen meals but I needed to learn what I was doing wrong. I soon learned it was the not the amount of food or calories it was WHAT I was eating. GMO wheat that makes your fat cells fatter? Huh even IF it wasn’t true, when I read how they make GMO food I choice not to eat that. Study after study showed lab rats with cancerous tumors. SO ummmm that was a no brainier to cut out as rates of cancer skyrocket?

So I started to eat more organic foods, and GMO free and I felt better my family felt better and we all started to lose weight. Then I learned about intermittent fasting. When I realize that we have been fasting since we were hunters and gatherers, AND I can save money on my groceries bills AND loss weight that was a WIN WIN WIN, I started stretching using a massage roller.? Adding just 10 minutes in the morning reduced that pain drastically.? I learned about low impact but high intensity resistance, core and balance training. With my back knee and shoulder injury I was still able to workout. Keep in mind I truly think 80% is food and 20% is exercise.

Its All About Self Care and Working on You
In the last year I realize that what I was doing through the years was working on me a little bit each day. That self care was important to get healthier. Its not about losing lbs, that’s a diet brain and not sustainable. What I realized was working on me daily made people around me better too.? I could deal with things better if I’m not in pain and have a clearer head. This is changing your mindset and life to a healthier lifestyle.
