So much of the work I do with my clients is all about changing habits. Adopting those which benefit your journey going forward and getting rid of those which no longer serve your journey. Here’s my top tips on forming new habits:
Try it for a month! I’ve been running a successful 30 day challenge program with some clients to build healthy habits. I give them daily accountability and support and the tools they need to continue after our challenge is over.

Share your goals with others and let them keep you accountable. I have a friend who does this for me, we share the goals we want to achieve with a deadline. She then checks up on me and sees how I am doing. I return the favor and together we keep on track.
Think of it as a lifestyle change, you have to really want to make a positive change. This isn’t a quick fix, it’s a lifestyle choice.

Take it slowly, aim for 1% better everyday. You will start to see changes and be able to keep them up. Don’t expect everything to change at once. You might slip up on your journey, but as long as you get back up- that’s what counts.
Do the reps! If you are making a commitment, stick to it! You have to show up and take the time for yourself. Nothing happens overnight, but you have to start somewhere.

Add a new habit one at a time, or stack them. My 30 day challenge stacks 4 habits and gives you an awesome morning routine. But each of them could be done individually if you wanted to do them one at a time. Do whatever works best for you.
Reading Atomic Habits by James Clear was something which influenced me to change my lifestyle, form new habits and be 1% better everyday.
