When I chat with friends and clients I often hear 3 statements about cooking and food.
First "I don't like to cook" and my response is "I don't either." often takes them by surprise. I use to like to cook but I cooked way too much food and all the wrong kinds of food for my family and myself. When I started to eat clean my cooking changed, it got simpler, less ingredients, less steps and healthier meals
People say to me, "Don't You Get Bored Eating the Same Foods? There are hundreds of fruits and veggies out there, how can you get bored? You can get bored of eating healthy or unhealthy food, if you eat the same things over and over, its our mindset.
I need simple meals, I don't have time to cook. How much more simple and cut, chop or dice, just be sure to have a great knife. Think about the steps it takes to fry a chicken cutlet vs chopping your favorite veggies to roast or add to a salad. There are simpler ways to do both and I am always looking for recipes with a handful of ingredient and minimal prep time.
Add Simple in your search for recipes
These are a few ways you can mix up your food choices
1. Add 1 New Recipe a Week
Start simple, find a recipe, pick a day to cook and try something new. You will easily find new favorites to add to your regular dishes.
2. Take A Stranger Home
Grab an unfamiliar fruit or veggies to bring home. I often find myself researching recipes and information right there in the produce department
3. Handful Ingredients & Steps
Looking for simple? Under 5 ingredient & 5 steps to prepare and cook your food
