Is cauliflower rice actually good for you? The short answer is no, unless you are making it yourself from a real cauliflower. The sort you can buy in the supermarket is full of processed chemicals like corn syrup solids and maltodextrin which are both processed sugar that spike your blood sugar. It also contains gum acacia which is a filler. Why bother with all those science projects when you could make your own for less money!

Why not try to make your own cauliflower rice? Use cauliflower and either blitz in a food processor or grater (like you use for cheese). Once you’ve got this you can cook it in a large pan with coconut or sesame oil to sautee. Keep the lid on to keep the moisture in and make the cauliflower more tender. Cook for 5-8 mins, be sure to season well with salt, pepper, ginger and garlic. You could also add green onion, cabbage, snow peas, broccoli and sweet peppers. Top with sesame seeds and serve!
