I dare you to read the ingredients on the back of a package this weekend when food shopping. I have been reading ingredients on packages for years and still amazed at the crap they put in our food and the way they try to confuse the shopper.

I Don?t Trust Advertising:
Food companies try to make it confusing. The packages says natural, no artificial flavors, no preservatives, but their ingredients are full of fillers and chemicals that are “natural” Seaweed it natural but does it need to be in your yogurt to make it thick. (Carrageenan) 75% of Amercian food is made with GMO?s (genetically modified organisms) which the FDA deems natural too… wtf
I Don?t Read Nutritional Facts:?
I never look at calories or the nutritional fact table on the back. From what I have found if the ingredients aren?t real food then the numbers on the nutritional facts will be way off and I wouldn?t touch anyway. I am not afraid of calories or good fat but I am afraid of chemicals fillers and GMO?s.

I Do Trust the Ingredients
I am looking for real food minimal processed at a good price. Here is what I look for:
Can I pronounce it? Reading the actual ingredients are they from the earth or a lab??
How many gradients are in the package? Is it minimally touched and the ingredients more mixed or highly process? I try to eat least processed
Organic and GMO free? I always weigh my options if it states organic and GMO free I grab it first and read the label. I?d rather pay a little more now and not pay with my health
Sugar is hard to get away from, but reducing it drastically is important. Did you know that the ingredients are in order, most used ingredient to least used. Sugar should be towards the end.
Even if it says Organic? Yes I read it even if it says organic, now food companies are making organic fillers you can now have organic seaweed in your organic yogurt and pay more for it. ugh
