Last year my New Years Resolution was to find ways to be out of pain. On top of dealing with old injuries slipping on the ice definitely didn’t help. I made this resolution because I needed to find ways to get through the cold months and still be able to workout without pain.
As I am working out with my friends and clients I keep hearing the same thing. Every ones pain levels is higher because of the cold. I would like to share with you what I do daily and weekly to battle pain.
Here’s How I Did It
Since food is energy of course food choices and fasting are a large part of reducing pain but here are some other ways to reduce your pain

Change Your Chair
I changed my office chair to a stability ball chair. Huge difference as I sit at the computer for hours. You can’t slouch, and your body needs to engage and balance you throughout.
Stretch My Body
Every morning and every night I take 10 mins and I stretch. I use a massage body roller along with my stretching after I get out of bed in the morning and after my shower at night.
Use a Heating Pads
Often I use my heating pad to warm my muscles before a stretch or just take the chill out of my body.
Braces
People are surprised to know that I consistently use my back brace and neck brace. Here’s my logic when I clean my house or go food shopping I wear my brace. I often where my brace when I work out. Its a “Second Back” why not rely on it rather then re injuring yourself
Supplements
Trying to be better with taking my supplement. I take turmeric for inflammation along with other natural supplements for pain. When I consistently take them I notice the differences
