I set up a corner of the room for my morning routine and meditation, now that we?re all in staying home, I believe it is very important to have a space dedicated to you.? A place to relax, recharge, learn about yourself and get your day started.?

Make it comfortable and meaningful:

Surround yourself with items of empowerment and good thoughts.? Design your space with your favorite blanket, comfy pillows and or yoga mat. Surround yourself items that will make your heart smile.

With my favorite Blankie, 3 magazines I intend to read, maroon hat of my grandmothers who was an amazing and insightful poet and writer, shells and rocks that my kids and I found and my daughter painted, and an old Asian print that was given to me as a gift from my mom.?

Make it Efficient:

Set yourself up for success and make it easy. Be sure to have everything you need the night before set up including earbuds, massage roller affirmations, reading materials.

What you don?t see in this picture is my two massage rollers in front of the table and my vibration plate after waking and stretching in the shower, I stretch and dance on the vibration plate and use the rollers.? Under the table are my 3 affirmations I read each day and a journal I write a page in.

Have a plan & ?Do the Reps? Be sure to have a plan. A goal without a plan is a wish. Write down on a piece of paper your intent for the morning, for example five minute meditation, 10 minute stretch, one page in the journal, read 10 minutes, etc. Everytime you workout you are training your body and ?doing the reps? same here, it?s not about doing meditation right, or knowing what to write in your journal it is doing the reps and making it a new habit and routine.

Start simple:

changing habits you need to build the habits together to make a routine. It?s called habit stacking. So right on that piece of paper 1 to 3 activities you will work on sitting there. I highly recommend meditation, stretching and writing your thoughts. Don?t expect perfection but be consistent?

After understanding why morning routine would benefit me I realized I already stretched in the morning so the first three activities I started with minutes of meditation, stretching, and writing one page in a journal. These are my goals and with time and consistency, I have filled journals, was up to 20 mins before quarantine doubled it since I was experiencing anxiety and stretching morning and night.
