My Detox Recipe: Simple & All Real Food Ingredients

There are so many different and confusing detox brews out there. Packaged drinks, shakes and powders are advertised as having detox benefits and super foods.?For me, any drink or shake must be tasty or I will never consistently drink it. I know we all have thrown out unused “some kinda shake” after is sat in your cabinet for a year or so?
So after researching the qualities or fruits and spices I found a basic detox recipe and added to it.? My Detox Brew Recipe
I go by taste so sorry i wont have specific measurements but these are the ingredients lemon, pure cranberry juice, cinnamon, chunks of ginger, and local honey, sometimes I add additional fruit? such as goji berries, pineapple, orange or strawberries. I use Trader Joe’S Cranberry Juice?
Why I Add Each Ingredient?
Each ingredient in this detox brew because of its health benefits and detox qualities and taste. Here is why I add these ingredients to my detox blend. I add ginger because it is an anti-inflammatory and anti-nausea spice. Cinnamon is added because it lowers and stabilizes blood sugar.? I add lemon for the many beneficial qualities, cancer preventing, healthy complexion, boost immunity, and aids in weight loss.? Cranberries juice and using local honeys offer a host of anti-oxidants, vitamin C and immune boosting properties.I freeze my detox drink in ice cube trays and throughout the day I drop them in my water or seltzer water. Or you can add it to your favorite tea at night.
So When Do I Detox?
There is no set schedule again I need to make it simple. I tend to drink it a few times through the week because I like it but when I feel run down, or I start to eat like crap.? I listen to my body and try to drink more of it when I don’t feel well. I find i feel the effects almost right away and within a day I feel noticeably better.
