When We Have Pain
Injuries are depressing, the nagging or sharp pain is present with every move. Pain affect your mood, productivity, even your loved ones. As we are growing older, more pain will settle in with arthritis and general wear and tear on our bodies. It can be a vicious cycle of gaining weight, being in pain and being depressed.

What I Did To Stop My Cycle of Pain
After making it a goal to be out of pain for last New Years Resolution, I started to research ways to get out of pain and found there were alternatives. The key to the alternatives
Braces
First I bought a neck and back brace from Amazon (cheap $20.00 each) I wear my braces while I am at the computer. I wear my back brace when I am grocery shopping or outside gardening. My braces are always available and I often worn.
Body Roller Massage
Secondly I purchase a body roller for massaging and loosening my muscles. This has become a ritual where I use it both in the morning and at night. The body massage roller is a helpful tool to relieve soreness, tightness and pain

Stretching
Third I started to stretch for at least 10 mins in the morning and at night. As we age we need to have good mobility and motion, stretching is the answer. The more you stretch the less your body hurts.

Supplements
I started to take natural supplements including turmeric, cinnamon and fish oil for my muscles and joints. I definitely notice a difference when I forget to take them
Cryotherapy
I found on Groupon a discounted price for cryotherapy, so I had to try it. Standing in a sub zero chamber for three minutes while your body begins to freeze is definitely an unique experience. You can feel the blood rushing and the release of endorphins
Acupuncture & Chiropractor
Finally I added either a weekly or monthly maintains appointment for either my acupuncturist or chiropractor. Both have helped in the past, and throughout the year I do count on relief after my appointments.
