Routines, Habits and Mindset

Knowledge is Power
A healthy lifestyle is a mindset not a diet. We are told to drink this, weigh that, measure this, count calories on a diet. ?We are told to stick to the rigid rules of the diet and we must fit the diet into our lives. A one size fits all approach to a healthy life won?t work for most.
I see it as a personal journey, learning to make better choices and changing your mindset. It’s like a snowball down hill, as it travels down the mountain it gains speed, as you change your mindset the results will build off each other.
Eating Clean
We are told calories matter, read the nutritional facts, check sodium and trans fats on the packaging. I NEVER count calories or EVEN look at the Nutritional Facts. I ONLY look at the ingredients, and eat minimally processed foods with the least amount of ingredients. If it?s real food the sodium, trans fats won?t be off the charts. Real foods may have high calories like peanut butter, but I eat 4 jars of organic peanut butter a week We need to limit and eliminate ?foods” that is full of chemicals, preservatives and fillers that make me fat and sick. GMO wheat is making our fat cells fatter. Sugar is a toxin to the human body.
Fasting

Only the food corporations, and big pharma benefit if we eat 3 meals a day especially if it is food that makes us sick fat and addicted. We were were hunters and gathers, we DIDN’T have 3 meals a day, often had to live off the fat on our bodies. Adding a fast to accelerated my weight loss. Using the fat on our bodies for energy, that’s basically fasting. There are a few methods to use including the 5:2 or 16:8 are what I use.

Stretching & Workouts
As we age we need to stay active, stretching, massage roller and working out. This needs to be in your daily routine. Stretching and flexibility is excellent for our muscles, and joints. Massage rolling and working out go hand in hand. After any workout it is important to stretch your muscles. Staying in motion is great for your body and ?mind.
