By definition, a processed food is a food item that has had a series of mechanical or chemical operation performed on it to change or preserve it . Processed food are those that typically come in a box or bag and often has ingredients made in labs and factories not found in our kitchen. Food Processing is any deliberate change in a food that occurs before its available for us to eat. Don’t look at the packaging or the nutritional facts read the ingredients

Step One: Read The Ingredients!
Are the ingredients real food? Can I find these ingredients in my kitchen? Can I Pronounce the Ingredients? Real Food or Science Projects? Such as high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oil, soy protein isolates or aspartame….
Step Two:Can I Make This at Home
Do I or can i buy these ingredients to make this at home? Are these real food ingredients? Are there minimal ingredients?

Step Three: Look For Organic & Non GMO
I am currently 75%-80% organic and GMO free in my food choices. I love eating tasty food but I don’t trust the food corporation have my best interest when they fill shelves with “food”that can sit there for years. I want fresh and nutritious veggies, fruits, nuts and grains.
