Realize it or not we all are in routines. We consistently do the same things each day. Either consciously or not, you are committed to your routine. The difference is, is that routine good for you?

So What Makes Someone Decide to Change Their Routine to a Healthier Lifestyle?

Usually it?s an event that we ?wake up? and see our health differently. Or a health scare that makes us realize we need to take better care of ourselves. Whatever reasons we ?wake up? its the first day of your new journey.

So What Makes someone stick with a healthier Lifestyle for Long Term?

Our lives are so busy, and most of us have tried every diet out there. What I realized was I would never be on a diet again?. I would change my food choice and work to become stronger in body and mind. Every day I work on becoming healthier happier and fit. Since I am a mother wife daughter and friend of course my time is limited but I know I HAVE to make time for myself if I ever wanted to truly be healthier.

Why Do I Need to Make Time For Myself?

Everyone has their own reason why we change and make time for themselves. For me I was not happy with myself. At 40 years old my body hurt, I was 40 pounds overweight, and always anxious. Each new healthier choice I made, I felt better and it became part of my healthier routine.

How Do I Work on Being Consistent?

I won?t lie it?s definitely hard work to stick to a routine, and I?m working on it everyday. I tried to add one ?new thing? to my healthy routine until it sticks. I recently added stretching in the morning and night and has made a huge improvement in pain. We need to stay consistent, work towards a healthy routine daily and be committed if we want a healthier routine.

I am lucky to work with 20+ people who are taking a chance on what worked for me to lose weight and stay fit for 5 years. And we work everyday together to become healthier and fit. Friends and clients consistently send food logs daily to be reviewed. Gentle reminders are necessary every once in a while. We all come to the table with insight! I have a ?working group? where we all post advice, daily chatter, recipes, tips, my workouts, and blog posts. We add daily workouts, with my workout videos and/or trying new activities.

So take this as a gentle reminder you need to work on yourself every day.
