This week while working out and discussing exercise with friends and family, the "how to's" and "whys" of exercise became apparent. One of the main reasons I stretch, exercise and strive to eat better is so I can age with life long mobility, freedom to live the way I want and exercise is ALWAYS good for your head.

Working with a man who is 96 years old, a US veteran in a wheelchair with one leg. We started working together because he wanted to continue to transport himself from the wheelchair to the bed. Watching him lift himself up with strengthen and confident is amazing and I am thankful for the experience. Exercise is mobility and freedom as we age.

Chatting by phone with another who explained she LOVED dancing with her husband before Covid and now finds herself not moving as much. Working out with a partner and doing what you love is a win win for fitness. They now are golfing together and she is exploring other types of exercise. When you Exercise can be exciting and fun with another for accountability and adventure. Find your Daily Exercise

I learned this week about forest bathing. Apparently Roosevelt was a big supporter and promoted forest preservation and he found great value and benefits of "bathing" in the forest. They say it happens after a 1/2 hour of walking or hike, the calming of your head and body. Taking a walk or run in nature, getting outside, finding your rhythm and clearing your head while exercise is a perfect escape.
